does not play a darkice to icecast2 mp3 stream

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. mp3 from collection plays fine
2. darkice stream plays with mpg321 connected to squeezebox
3. attempted many alternative darkice configurations

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Squeezbox appears to be sending stream

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Squeezelite v1.6.3,
raspian

a log (-f -d all=debug) contains the following at the attempt to
open the stream
