Begin with the reported i7z DEBUG output, especially the “detected a newer model” and “guessing Nehalem” lines. Trace the processor-detection entry point and add support for the reported model; done means i7z identifies it correctly without the unknown-model message. No file or test is named, so locating relevant coverage is part of the work.
