Feature Proposal

USGS has a config repo.

Could we add a script that would allow us to configure a "config update" alert for when USGS has new configurations.

Perhaps we store this in a BLOB and then reference that blob in airflow if a district has it. Then send an email?

BONUS:

Automatically, with a flag (optional), update the OpenDCS config with the changes

Research direction

No implementation file or test is named. Start by reviewing the repository's CLI entry points and the linked USGS configuration source, then clarify how Airflow should reference a BLOB and notify districts. Done requires an agreed update-alert workflow; optional automatic OpenDCS updates should be specified separately.
