Categorize/assign color to shortcuts within text area

We're perhaps using Label Studio in a bit of an unorthodox manner: we're using a text area with shortcuts, where the shortcuts serve as buttons that a user clicks to construct a pattern.

Would it be possible to categorize the shortcuts (i.e. split them up into different boxes/columns) and assign color?

It would also be helpful to have a click and drag option where the shortcut button could be moved around in a different spot once it's already been placed in the text area if the user accidentally misplaced it or wants to add something without removing what has already been added.
