Sounds do not load in Internet Explorer

Description
When using sound effect manager in Internet Explorer (10 / 11, and I suspect 9 but haven't checked) sounds fail to load. As IE doesn't implement Web Audio API the fallback to Audio / wav is used, and wav is not supported by IE.
