Description

As far as I can tell, the V2 log format in the Java implementation does not support not compressing the histograms. Should we remove support for that? Should we at least update the examples to prefer the more "standard" serializer that will interoperate with other hdrhistogram libraries?

Research direction

Start by comparing the Rust V2 serialization behavior with the Java implementation and reviewing the examples that select a serializer. Determine whether uncompressed histograms are supported and whether the standard serializer is intended for interoperability. Done means the deprecation decision is implemented consistently and the examples reflect the chosen serializer.
