Fix unit test failures

Fix unit test failures in https://github.com/HarperFast/harper/pull/75. This is the critical first step in getting some baseline test coverage in place. We know that there are numerous things that can be done to improve the quality of our tests once we have a working baseline in place. Some of these improvements may already be filed, if there are other test improvements you would like to see, feel free to file new tickets (but they should be tracked as separate tickets).
