**Investigative — verify on current build.** Heap OOM under sharding load. Related to [CORE-2944](https://harperdb.atlassian.net/browse/CORE-2944) (general heap OOM on 4.7.4). Investigate whether the shard subscription scanning or proxy request path has a memory leak under load.
