[Windows] Executable refuses to open.

I've played the whole game with the prerelease version and was fine. However when I switched to the latest version, the game doesn't open. I've followed all the install instructions correctly, used a verified rom. I tried extracting the files in a new folder rather than replacing old files and extracting it in my other drive. But after everything I do, the executable doesn't open. I can drag the rom on top of the .exe and it will extract the assets, but once it's time to run SoH: Nothing! I don't know why this is happening.
