Description
I have implemented a background job with cancellationtoken. When I delete a job it sometimes takes some time until the execution is really canceled. The state of the job is deleted independent of whether the job is still running or not. Is there a way to check if the cancellation was successful or not?

Research direction
Start by tracing how background-job deletion requests cancellation and how cancellation completion is represented. Determine whether an existing API or state can report successful cancellation, and define completion as a reliable way for callers to distinguish a deleted job from one whose execution has actually stopped.
