Description
Description of the feature or enhancement you'd like to see in HandBrake
In HandBrake v1.11.1, the tooltip text explains how the Constant Quality mode works, and suggests specific values. However, it doesn’t mention that VideoToolbox-based encoders on the Mac (H.264, H.265, and H.265 10-bit) use a different scale (0–100) where higher numeric values result in higher quality and bitrate, which can be confusing.
I suggest editing the tooltip text to mention this caveat, or replacing the recommendations with a reference to a documentation page (which may need to be created).

Research direction
Start by locating the Constant Quality slider tooltip in HandBrake's macOS interface and review how it describes the quality scale. Compare the wording with the VideoToolbox H.264, H.265, and H.265 10-bit encoders; done means the tooltip or linked documentation clearly explains their 0–100 scale and that higher values increase quality and bitrate.
