Research direction
Start by reproducing the behavior in HandBrake's desktop application on Windows 10: change dimension or picture settings, then select another preset and record which values are overwritten. Identify the preset-change handling and picture-settings UI, then define the desired lock behavior and verify that locked settings persist while unlocked settings continue to follow presets.
