Issues when toggling fullscreen off

Description
Hello,
when I exit fullscreen the terminal is resized to a very small size instead of the fixed size.
The provided screenshots follow the steps:
**1. Guake is run and the terminal appears in a normal NON fullscreen size**

**2. Press Fullscreen, functions normally.**

**3. Exit fullscreen ->terminal is resized awkwardly to a very small window.**

As I understand the window is supposed to resize to the shown in image 1.
If the visibility is toggled off and then on the window is resized back to the normal size
