Description
### App Version / Build Number
2.2.1 (build 202)
### Device
Galaxy Tab A8
### Android Version
Android 14
### Describe the bug
A previously captured tree cannot be found in the app after attempting to sync/upload.
However, the tree counter still shows “1”, indicating a pending or unsynced item.
@cynthiabondi
### To Reproduce
1. Capture a tree photo
2. Attempt to sync/upload the tree
3. Return to the main screen
4. Observe the tree counter shows “1”
5. Attempt to locate the uploaded tree → not found
### Expected behavior
The captured tree should either:
Successfully upload and be visible in the app, or
Remain visible locally as pending if not yet uploaded
The counter should accurately reflect the actual state of stored or uploaded trees.
### Actual behavior
The tree/photo cannot be located anywhere in the app,
but the counter still shows “1”, suggesting a pending item exists.
### Frequency
Happened once
### Severity
Major - Feature broken, no workaround

Research direction
No files, tests, or code entry points are identified. Start by reproducing the capture and sync flow on the reported Android device and check where the tree disappears while the counter remains at 1. Done means the tree is visible after upload or remains locally visible as pending, with the counter matching the stored state.
