**Abstract**: Adrian Cockroft is p[roposing a new standard for measuring carbon](https://adrianco.medium.com/proposal-for-a-realtime-carbon-footprint-standard-60b71c269948). He wants people to measure carbon every minute, versus once a year (present). He is pushing the biggest tech and cloud players in the industry to have a conversation about this new standard; Microsoft, Google and Amazon.
**Why**: Adrian is reaching out to major industry publications for earned media support, and speaking about this new standard at global industry events like QCon London. He wants to generate buzz around this topic, and in support, GSF wants to amplify the discussion and create momentum to encourage Microsoft, Google and Amazon to get involved in conversation.
**Audience**: CTOs, CIOs
**Timeline**: Mid-to-end May, 2023
