Description
I'm wishing for tabs, someone says views should do that, but I can't find views...
So I try saved searches, which worked nicely... until I go to load a saved search, and it feels like I'm jumping through hoops!
It would make it quicker and more intuitive if the Load button simply popped down a menu listing the saved searches. Clicking on a search loads it. Done. No need for a second Load button, I already told Graylog I want to do that by clicking the first Load button.
Keep the search if folks have tons of them. Heck, even keep the pagination for someone with a hundred of them. But don't make me do a dance with my mouse just to load a search.
Now here's the crazy part, it only saves 1 click, but having the modal in the center on a large monitor also increases movement and introduces cognitive delays that are unnecessary. Just my two cents anyway, but it seems tabs would surely be easier with 1 click to load a "saved" search. Click on the name of a tab to rename it, and so on.
Or do both if you want to (like Loggly) and provide saved searches for more "permanent" queries, and tabs for more transitory queries.
