Query on backing up alerts/stream data to standby cluster

Hi,

I am currently looking at setting up a graylog cluster spanning multiple DC's.

Is there anyway to take a backup/sync of the stream/alert data settings via graylog and then import this onto a standby cluster periodically as I believe that would all that is needed to ensure there is a failover cluster available to send/receive data in the event of failure.
