Description
When a page contains multiple elements—and one of them has a background applied—selecting a subsequent component (which has its panel open but no color set) causes the panel to inherit the styling from the *previous* element rather than clearing to a default state.

Research direction
The issue names no file, test, or entry point. First reproduce the sequence with multiple elements, a background on one, and no color on the next; then trace how the style panel reflects the selected component. Done means selecting the second component shows its default state instead of the previous element's background.
