Regarding help on utilizing this repo for my on premises k8s cluster to push logs and metrics to GCP logging and monitoring

I have deployed community k8s in my on-premises cluster. I would like push container applications and system logs from my k8s cluster to GCP Cloud logging. Also want to send metrics from my k8s cluster to GCP Monitoring (just like GKE logging/metrics). Could you help to provide steps on how I can use this repo for the same? If not, suggestion for alternatives.
