Impossible to return to application in custom-tabs-oauth demo in Android 9

**Describe the bug**
We tried to test the custom-tabs-oauth demo and it works with the Pixel3a API 30 simulator but does not work on Android 9

**To Reproduce**
Steps to reproduce the behavior: compile demo on Android 9

**Expected behavior**
The method handleAuthCallback is called and the app displays the "Hello, {username}."

**Did this ever used to work**
It works in simulation with the PIxel3a API 30

- Device: moto x4
- OS: Android 9
- Browsers Installed : Chrome
- Browser Versions : app version 96.0.4664.45
- android-browser-helper library version : main, tag: android-browser-helper-2.3.0
