General: Add hot keys for basics?

Update: We now of have CMD-W for close window and others will be added
soon. Could possibly add CMD-C for copy to clipboard?

No files or tests are named. Start by locating the keyboard-shortcut handling and checking the existing CMD-W behavior, then determine which requested shortcuts remain absent. Done means the agreed basic shortcuts, including open, new, results visibility, and possibly copy, work consistently.
