**Describe the bug**
Hello,
whether it's with the ZenUI keyboard (by default)
or the "hacker's keyboard" (which manages the whole keyboard, the name is just for show) `https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.pocketworkstation.pckeyboard`
I don't have the signs é to ç ù or ^ (such as ê î ô)

Reproduce the missing accented-character and circumflex input on Ubuntu 22.04 with the listed Zenfone 3 MAX and keyboard configurations. Compare the behavior with issue #4096, then trace the relevant keyboard-input path; done means these characters are received correctly and the regression is covered by an appropriate test.
