Terminal with Scrcpy open causes major stuttering with streaming websites in browsers such as Chrome. When scrcpy is minimized into the dock, the stuttering goes completely away. I have an external GPU and when in clamshell mode the issue does not occur, however when both the external monitor and the internal monitor are on, having scrcpy open causes massive frame drops in applications. I assume this may be due to the way MacOS handles external monitors with an eGPU, however I am curious as to why it would cause so much stutter just for having scrcpy open.
I have already tried changing encoders, preferring external GPU on, and changing resolutions. Unfortunately nothing has fixed it. Any potential options to try?

Research direction
No source file, test, or entry point is named. First reproduce the setup with the external monitor and eGPU while scrcpy is open, then compare streaming performance with scrcpy minimized; done means identifying a reproducible cause and documenting or correcting the stutter.
