Description

When I read the documentation of gmtbinstats, I feel it's unclear to me what exactly hexagonal tiling means.

I find the following illustration from https://github.com/GenericMappingTools/gmt/pull/3950#issuecomment-674369634 is very useful explaining hexagonal and rectangular tilings.

I think we should add an illustration showing (a) a rectangular grid layout; (b) a hexagonal tiling to the gmtbinstats documentation.
