Description
The memo that was issued by Vivek Kundra, Federal CIO, on Sept 28, 2010 that relates to IPv6 deployment of all federal public-facing systems by Sept 2012 should also apply to cloud systems.

All Internet-facing federal systems, whether on-premises or in the cloud should operate using both IPv4 and IPv6.
Besides making these federal systems accessible to "the whole Internet" using both IPv4 and IPv6. IPv6 has many advantages that increase innovation for the federal departments and agencies. If systems continue to be constrained by IPv4-only networks, so to will be the constraints on innovation on information technology.
Respectfully,
