Description

In reviewing the response data following a "get" request, there seems to be an inconsistency in the handling of parent activities for projects reported for a major investment and for a standard investment. In particular, when requesting project data for a major investment, the parent activities contain no start dates, completion dates, or costs. However, for a standard investment, it appears the system is returning the calculated dates and costs from the child activities.

As I generally understood the responses to be providing back the data we submitted, I would expect the parent activities to be blank where no data was submitted (even if the IT Dashboard has some calculated data placed in the fields.) More importantly, however, would be to have this be consistent across projects, whatever the decision is. And, if the decision is to return the calculated data, it would be helpful to add a new field, perhaps named "isParent" or similar, to indicate whether the IT Dashboard considers the activity a parent or child, to avoid any potential question as to the source of that date/cost data.

This is not a high-priority issue for this submission and it is something I would not expect we need to discuss or address until after the submission is complete.
