Slow loading when coming back from footer content

Description: When completing Use Case #5, Task 6, the loading of the main page when coming back from clicking on a footer page caused problems. I could see the main page and so would tap the next menu item. But I didn't see the first time that the loading symbols was very lightly displayed, which meant that my command to navigate to the next item was not registered.

Expected Result: If the page is still loading and cannot receive commands, the loading symbols should be far more obvious / it should look like I need to wait before doing anything. The best case is that the page can still receive commands even if it's still loading so that when it is done, the user doesn't have to tap the footer link again. That is what I expected to happen so was confused why it didn't navigate to the second page when it was done loading.
