Description:
The app lacks documentation of the methods and techniques used to generate the data that NOAA collects and that the user can export under "my data." In order for a user to be able to use their own data, they would need to know how it was collected, sensitivity, precision, etc., for both the magnetic measurements and the location. This could be accomplished within the app or via a link from within the app to a web site. Providing this documentation via a scientific journal article or NOAA scientific report that has undergone peer review may make the app data more usable by other scientists.
