Description
Frozen precip flux testing will need testing and perhaps further development, lead by Randy.
For this, the branch feature/jperket/LandFrozenPrecipTreatment has been created, porting the cvs tag JP_PTYPEinLand_20190513 for these files:
- GEOSland_GridComp/GEOScatch_GridComp/GEOS_CatchGridComp.F90
- GEOSland_GridComp/GEOScatchCN_GridComp/GEOS_CatchCNGridComp.F90
- GEOSland_GridComp/GEOScatch_GridComp/catchment.F90
- GEOSland_GridComp/GEOScatchCN_GridComp/catchmentCN.F90
- GEOSsurface_GridComp/Shared/StieglitzSnow.F90
This branch resolves https://github.com/GEOS-ESM/GEOSgcm_GridComp/issues/34

Research direction
Start by reviewing the feature/jperket/LandFrozenPrecipTreatment branch and the five listed Fortran files: GEOS_CatchGridComp.F90, GEOS_CatchCNGridComp.F90, catchment.F90, catchmentCN.F90, and StieglitzSnow.F90. Run the frozen precipitation flux tests and compare the behavior with issue 34; done means the new treatment is tested and any further development is identified.
