Description
EQS are not always matching well with ruptures or are otherwise not able to be used to calculate GMFs. the can't do eq X message is common. Probably due to TRT ambiguity. Matching also regularly fails.

Research direction
Start by reproducing a case where an EQS cannot be matched to a rupture or used to calculate a GMF. Trace the matching and TRT-handling path to determine whether TRT ambiguity causes the failure. Done means EQS consistently match compatible ruptures and GMF calculation no longer produces the reported "can't do eq X" message.
