FreeCAD Event: Open Hardware Summit 2026

Hey folks! Got back from the Summit and our FreeCAD booth, so figured I'd share a little video of I captured in between giving live demos and answering FreeCAD questions.

There was a wealth of great feedback, some suggestions, and lots of gratitude to the developers and everyone in the project for the great work. Those at the summit who had not switched to FreeCAD yet for their open hardware projects consistently expressed a desire to.

Our main software competitors in this space seem to be OnShape and Fusion (neither were present at the Summit, but were mentioned as the software used for CAD, so it may be worth making some videos to help people switch over from those software packages to FreeCAD.
