### Description
Add support for using the new Gateway API (https://kubernetes.io/docs/concepts/services-networking/gateway/) as an alternative to Ingress API.
Ingress is now Frozen, and going forward Gateway API is where continuing development will take place.
This is totally separate from the deprication of nginx ingress controller by the kube sig.
