Description
The current PID control for the alternator works decently within about +/- 1v of target but suffers from quick load changes which the PID can't respond to in time. Like for the idle timing tuning and most other closed loop functions, could there be an open loop control table added for the alternator control plotting battery voltage against duty cycle. This way the alternator control could be tuned reasonably well using open loop control which would also aid in acting as a feedforward to reduce voltage spikes or drops, then the PID would work over that for the final adjustments
