@mairin - quick idea I had about iterating on the current layout -
1- Add annotation under a "cc" dropdown menu, very much like in youtube
2- Move "play" button to the left of the slider, youtube like -
3- Add an histogram that displays the intensity distribution of the current dataset at the top. May not be too critical but could be useful, especially if we want to add some 3D Volume rendering.
