Formulas stop working at some point when too long is there a way to change this limit

Somewhere around the 2,400 character mark a formula stops working, when edited to make it sorter it works so it seems to be a length issue.

This is a macro that uses Excel-DNA.Registration as well as Excel-DNA.

Is there any info on what the limit is and how to bypass it?
