Yes
### Describe the bug
info: MacOS M1, fresh install of both Steam celeste (1.4.0.0-fna, no betas) and Everest 1.5421.0-azure-15f3e (the pinned stable ver), no mods installed. Using a Mayflash Gamecube Controller Adapter, detected as Generic Controller by steam. Steam Input off.
Hey all!
While base Celeste does appear to detect my controller correctly, including correct button labels, once I install Everest I see "Please attach a controller" even with the controller connected. I am running modded Celeste by opening the app through Steam, and I have tested both with Steam Input on and off.
Happy to collect logs or try beta versions etc, or run a local build if need be.
Thanks!

### Steps to reproduce
1. Plug in a generic controller (in my case, Mayflash GameCube Adapter)
2. Start vanilla Celeste with Steam Input off
3. Observe that the controller is detected
4. Install Everest stable with no mods
5. Start Celeste from Steam
6. Observe that controller is not detected
### Expected behavior
I would expect that my controller would be detected in the same way that it is in the vanilla game.
### Operating System
MacOS Sonoma
### Everest Version
1.5421.0-azure-15f3e
