Embedding scroll storymaps but only first map loads

Hi, while embedding a scroll-based storymap, it appears that only the first map loads while the other maps remain blank (the text and other elements still show up). I noticed that while I scroll through the storymap, the first map updates to show the view of the other maps.

For what it's worth, all maps in the storymap reference the same webmap, just with different views and layers turned on/off. Could this be what is causing the issue?
