Description

This is not really an issue, I just couldn't find any other way to contact you to ask a question. Sorry.

Can you tell me if it is possible to map .exe file names from the App timeline provider output to friendly names like we see in task manager > app history? I have read that there should be a mapping but I cannot find it. I found the IDMap table using ese explorer but even in there I can't seem to find how to map .exe to friendly name.

Research direction

The issue mentions the App timeline provider output, .exe names, the IDMap table, and Ese Explorer, but no source file or test. Start by inspecting how the provider output and IDMap records are exposed, then verify whether a documented mapping to Task Manager > App history names exists. Done means a clear, reproducible answer or a documented limitation.
