Description
These `OPTIONAL` arguments were added in https://github.com/ESCOMP/atmospheric_physics/pull/112/commits/7e73d8a8978083cd05da1a30d4f33a97d10a3bf8 and https://github.com/ESCOMP/atmospheric_physics/pull/112/commits/886c8952eb296c4eea3107f2498a242d1321c490 to resolve a CAM test issue where geopotential height was unavailable at time of tropopause height interpolation. In CCPP this should be unnecessary, so this cleanup can be done when CAM is retired.
