error generating landuse_timeseries using mksurf_esmf at ultra-hires

Description
In trying to generate a landuse_timeseries file for ne480pg3 (global ~7 km), it keeps error'ing out at year 2004. I've tried different ssp scenarios, and it stops at the same point.
