Validate water isotopes

Once the implementation of water isotopes is complete, we should do some scientific validation to make sure results look reasonable.

@davidnoone suggests:

> It might be useful if there was some diagnostic plots to take a look at. Two types come to mind: some maps, and some time series at favorite places. (One might choose NEON sites as points of interest)
