Description
Threading with ESMF should be implemented in coordination with ESMF PETs, this will allow finer grained control of threading for components. In PR #59 I attempted to implement this feature but there were several problems with dead locks and poor performance which require the attention of ESMF and CESM engineers working in concert to address.
