### What is the feature/what would you like to discuss?
As there are projects running with our new FLT/FMT compsets in mpas (EarthWorks, SIMA), we would like to provide functional support for these cam7 compsets in cam_development. For this issue, we are only targeting support for the 120 km grid (and possibly the 480 km testing grid) --- hi-res or var-res mpas grids are not in cam_development yet (relevant issue, however outdated: https://github.com/ESCOMP/CAM/issues/507).
Resolving this issue requires resolving these two sub-issues: https://github.com/ESCOMP/CAM/issues/995 and https://github.com/ESCOMP/CAM/issues/1102.
The priority of this is yet to be determined.
