Issues with EBSP extraction in EM4DEBSD

Hi all,

I have two questions about EBSP extraction using EMsoft/EM4DEBSD.

**1.** I selected a grain of (111) direction from the IPF map , which corresponds to the blue grain in the upper-left region.

Then, I extracted the EBSP pattern using both our own software and EMsoft/EM4DEBSD. For the EMsoft result, I used the orientation-adaptive virtual detector mode by setting **VDreference = 'MPat'**.

I expected the pattern to look like one complete EBSP pattern containing the (111) direction information. However, the pattern extracted from EMsoft looks as if four images were tiled together (I added yellow dashed lines to highlight this issue.)

Has anyone encountered a similar issue before, or does anyone know what might cause this?

**2.** When I select the VD position in stationary virtual detector mode, there always seems to be a shift of about 70 pixels in the y-direction, and also comes out a very blurry image rather than clear grain images like those shown on the wiki page. Does anyone know why this shift occurs, or how to correct it?
