Description
This issue serves as a meta-tracking task for cleaning up and improving the P3 microphysics code. The goal is to enhance code maintainability, readability, and extensibility, making future development and feature additions easier.
Areas of Improvement:
1. Consistent & Descriptive Variable Naming
2. Refactor Code Structure – Streamline how P3 is called and how it interfaces with its sub-processes.
3. Enhance Testing Infrastructure – Strengthen unit tests to ensure robustness and maintainability.
By addressing these improvements, we aim to make P3 microphysics easier for further developments.

Research direction
No files, tests, or entry points are named. Begin by locating the P3 microphysics implementation and its current call path, then review the variable naming, sub-process interfaces, and existing unit tests. The work is done when the cleanup, structural improvements, and strengthened tests are defined and completed.
