`client.detach_test` is intermittently timing out on the `vs2019-32` CI build

The `windows-ci|vs2019-32` job for #6756 failed repeatedly with `client.detach_test` timing out.

I also spotted it timing out in the same way for #6762, but in that case it passed on a re-run.
