Description

On Windows 10, Dr. Memory is added to the user's PATH in the control panel view, but the change is not propagated to explorer and from there to new processes: it does not appear in a new cmd shell. It will take effect on reboot. Manually performing a no-op change in the control panel env editor does cause a new cmd to pick it up.

This seems limited to Windows 10 only.

Research direction

The issue names no source files or tests. Reproduce the WIX MSI installation on Windows 10, then open a new cmd shell and check whether the user's PATH includes Dr. Memory without rebooting. Done means the updated PATH is visible to new processes immediately after installation.
