Option to either always search available apps or ask if they should be searched

I keep leaving the app on the installed or updates tab then coming back later and searching for apps, and every time it takes a bit for me to realize why I'm not getting search results (because it's searching only the installed apps or apps with updates available). It would be helpful to be able to have it always search for available/new apps or at least warn (maybe even just with a small red/orange/yellow banner at the top of the search results) when searching one of the other tabs.
