How to design the icon for Drew's Web Browser.

I want the icon to be a generic globe (not quite Earth but similar to it) icon with my initial slapped on top of it. I would make a new image of my initial so it can scale from 128x128. Maybe my initial could be blue and would function as the water on the globe icon? Plus, maybe I should make my initial thicker in some parts to look like rivers.
