Field and Tile visibility by role or permission

From a D.T user:
Is there currently a way to make a specific contact field or tile only visible to certain roles? It seems to me that the custom tile visibility can only be tied to other fields, but not to roles. In my specific use case, I need people in certain roles to add/view/edit contact info that either wouldn't be helpful to the multiplier (or confuse him) or that the multiplier simply shouldn't see.
